One of the rarest ones you'll ever come across. This is a near mint, 9.8 with white pages, Fantastic Four 67. This issue is notable because it represents what is acknowledged by collectors as the 1st appearance of Adam Warlock. This character serves as the main rival to Thanos and is going to be introduced as a main character in the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (you saw his cocoon at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy 2). This particular copy has 3 things going for it.
First, it's almost impossible to find a FF 67 with pages as white and crisp as this, and there are only 9 9.8 graded copies of this book in the world. The second is the overall condition - when you compare it to scans of the other 8 9.8's, this is the best of the bunch, making it the top copy in the world. The third thing is it's part of the prestigious Gary Dahlberg collection (more commonly known as the "Twin Cities" Pedigree). Dahlberg was one of the most meticulous and fastidious collectors of comic books ever, only purchasing the absolute best copies off the newsstand and storing them in optimal conditions. The pedigree has a secondary sort of uniqueness to it, as Mr. Dahlberg's kitchen caught fire, and he was killed whilst attempting to protect his collection. Graders say it's easy to spot a Twin Cities because the books themselves still smell slightly of smoke when in open air. I've never held the book outside of its case, so I can't say for sure whether that's true, but I imagine there's some accuracy to it. This book is literally a one of a kind. The photos here in the listing are from an old HA listing. The book is in the same condition today, though it has shifted downwards some in the case over the years. It's just that the HA scans are much better than any home scanner can pull off.
Full owner provenance is documented. As mentioned above, the book was originally owned by Gary Dahlberg. The present owner's uncle won the book from Mr. Cage, and later gave the book as a gift to the current owner. Be aware that, even though I have this book physically in my possession for the purposes of the listing, I'm consigning it for a friend who was gifted it as a wedding present some years back, and that friend will be the one who decides its fate in terms of sale.
You should inquire personally if interested in the piece and I will forward the query and response. Similarly, the "Make an Offer" button is enabled but, frankly, I would be surprised if the owner agrees to go much below the asking price. They're not terribly motivated sellers, only interested in parting with it if the price is right. The item "Fantastic Four #67 1st App. Adam Warlock TWIN CITIES PEDIGREE 9.8" is in sale since Tuesday, February 11, 2020.
